We respect your Privacy

Phaedrus Living collects, holds, uses, verifies and discloses (“processes”) information about individuals which may constitute personal data, under applicable data protection and privacy laws in Europe. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we process your personal data. You are entitled to consent and agree to this privacy policy terms if you decide to visit our website and use our services.

1. How do we collect your personal data?

The personal data we collect regarding you comes primarily from information that you submit to us through our website or that is otherwise captured during the course of your relationship with us. We obtain your personal data from the forms and documents used from your access to or use of our services.

We collect personal data when we monitor or record our communications with you or through use of certain technology as detailed further below.

We collect data when you process a payment through any type of credit/debit card in EUR or any other currency. The payment details you provide which are directly linked to your credit/debit card are retained by us and not shared with any other third party.

2. Personal data obtained from other sources

We may also obtain personal data from our service providers acting on our behalf, from third parties authorised to provide us with such information, such as credit reporting bodies, other credit providers or other agencies used for running due diligence checks, authorised third parties performing identity verification procedures on our behalf and/or from third parties who provide services to you such as your financial adviser, financial planner, dealer group, accountant or other professional adviser. Some of this information is publicly accessible and/or reliable and independent databases that we access through an authorised third party to whom we disclose your personal data for the purpose of performing required identity verification procedures. Where you are an individual associated with a corporation or institution with whom Phaedrus Living does business with, your personal data will also be provided to us via that corporation or institution. Such personal data includes personal and contact details, financial information, identification documents and, where permitted by applicable law and only to the extent needed, information relating to political affiliations, trade union membership or criminal convictions.

We ensure you a secure storage of your data for a short amount of time covered under European Regulation. We will not share, sell, rent or lease your personal data to any third party unless we have your full consent to do so.

4. Disclosure of personal data

All personal data and credit/debit card details will not be shared, sold, rented or leased to any third party. Phaedrus Living discloses all personal information to the following parties only:

  • - Other companies belonging to or directly affiliated to Phaedrus Living, always in accordance with this privacy policy.
  • - Service providers which perform on our behalf. These include, among others, payment processing providers, analytics, web hosting and email providers. Personal data collected may be transferred to these service providers who might be located around the world.
  • - All personal data is transferred to third parties after we have received your approval and full consent.

5. Safeguard your personal data

We have procedures in place to prevent unauthorised access to, and the misuse of, personal data.

We use appropriate business systems and procedures to protect and safeguard the personal data you give us. We also use security procedures and technical and physical restrictions for accessing and using the personal data. Only authorized personnel are permitted to access personal data in the course of their work.

We’ll keep your personal data for as long as we think it's necessary to enable you to use our services or to provide our services to you, to comply with applicable laws, resolve any disputes and otherwise to allow us to conduct our business, including to detect and prevent fraud or other illegal activities. All personal data we keep about you is covered by this Privacy Statement.

5.1 Erasure

We generally retain your personal information for as long as is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and us, to comply with our legal obligations, and as permitted by applicable law.

You have the right to ask us to delete your personal information, subject to certain limitations and restrictions. Please note that if you request the erasure of your personal information:

  • We may retain your personal information as necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as prevention of money laundering, fraud detection and prevention and enhancing safety.
  • We may retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
  • Some copies of your information will remain in our database but are disassociated from personal identifiers.

5.2 Withdrawing Consent

If we are processing your personal information based on your consent you can withdraw your consent at any time by sending a communication to Phaedrus Living specifying which consent you are withdrawing. Please note that the withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing activities based on such consent before its withdrawal.

5.3 Restriction of Processing

You have the right to limit the ways in which we use your personal information, in particular where (i) you contest the accuracy of your personal information (ii) the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of your personal information (iii) we no longer need your personal information for the purposes of the processing, but you require the personal information for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

5.4 Objection to Processing

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information based on grounds specific to your situation if such processing is for direct marketing or is for a purpose based on a legitimate interest or public interest. If you object to processing based on legitimate or public interests we will no longer process your personal information for these purposes unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for such processing or where the processing is otherwise required for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

We retain personal information for as long as needed or permitted in light of the purpose(s) for which it was obtained and consistent with applicable law. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include:

  • the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide services to you.
  • whether there is a legal obligation to which we are subject (for example, certain laws require us to keep records of your transactions for a certain period of time before we can delete them); and/or
  • whether retention is advisable in light of our legal position (such as in regard to applicable statutes of limitations, litigation or regulatory investigations).

7. Information Privacy and Security reporting

Phaedrus Living makes the best efforts to safeguard your personal data against accidental or malicious conduct and loss. However, no technology or security program is 100% proved to protect delicate information and secure such data. We cannot guarantee you the full protection of your personal information.

In the rare case of such incident, we have implemented a system which will alert you by email. Additionally, the relevant Data Protection Authority will be informed within 72 hours after incident has been noticed.

8. How do we update this Privacy Policy?

We regularly update and change portions of this Privacy Policy in accordance with the law and regulations of the Republic of Cyprus. Please make sure to read this privacy policy as to be aware of such updates. When required to notify you, in accordance with data protection laws, we will send you an email or individual message disclosing the changes.

We will investigate any complaint and will notify you of the making of a decision in relation to your complaint as soon as is practicable after it has been made.
